Position Summary:
HVAC technician assists the mechanics in performing the full range of field - level maintenance and repairs of power generators, air-conditiong units or electrical power grids.
Major job activities :
- Assists the mechanics in performing the repairs or replaces defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Assists in determining exact nature and extent of repairs required and assists in major and minor repairs on equipment, components, or wiring
- assists the mechanics in testing pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap and water solution.
- make operational checks and adjustments as required.
- reassmebles and tests equipment following repairs.
- performs other duties as assigned.
Material & Equipment Directly used :
TMDE, Automotive repair equipment, Material handling equipment.
Working environment/physical activities:
Work is generally conducted outside environment. potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work does require stooping; prolonged standing and sitting. Employee use of personal protective equipment(PPE) is required in certain areas. individual may require access and may be exposed to ITAR controlled technical data. Perform preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment following the work orders, complete all areas of this instruction sheet and hand back to help desk for data entry into log system. provide mission essential support to FN co-workers, giving guidance and positive feed back.
