Primary Responsibility:
Performs the full range of duties required to operate/drive various military and civilian vehicles on designated missions.
Major Functions:
- Performs PMCS on designated vehicles IAW
current SOP or as instructed.
- 2. Loads/Helps Load cargo ie. Vehicles, crates, pallets, box’s etc. on trailers in a safe and secure manner.
- Ties, chains, straps down loads on trailers.
- Performs minor repairs on section vehicles to
include tire changing, adding POL products, changing lights etc. as needed.
- Assists other drivers in similar duties as
specified leads and supervisor.
- Ground guides vehicles, leads convoys, escorts trucks as instructed by Leads/Supervisor.
- Reports problems/Discrepancies with vehicles, loads or convoys to Leads and/or Supervisor for disposition.
- Maintains proper key control IAW SOP and
current regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
- Heavy Equipment Transporter, Tactical and civilian type vehicles
- Materiel handling equipment
