- Plans, leads, organize and control Quality Assurance & Control Department.
- Advises the CEO and Director of Manufacturing on the formulation of quality plans and policies with respect to the department’s specialized work activity.
- Liaise with certifying bodies in understanding and implementing new guidelines, procedures and standards.
- Identifies and provides resource requirements for performance of work and verification activities.
- Monitors performance, in relevant areas, according to established standards and procedures and takes necessary action to non-conformities.
- Liaison with other departments on any matter arising which relate to the quality and unit/s performance
- Insures approved procedures are adapted within the department and all necessary procedures are updated and implemented.
- Monitors implementation of procedures, work instructions and recommends improvement in the operations.
- Attends to problems encountered in the operations due to technical issues and non-conformity
- Develops, establishes and maintains logical, efficient and integrated system of monitoring and analyzing products’ performance and design.
- Monitors and ensures that the products’, vendors’ and customers’ quality indicators are met.
- Oversee the implementation of vendor qualification procedure and control, e.g. sampling test, specification verification, supplier technical interface.
- Ensures that the quality of product is within or above the acceptable quality level (AQL).
- Ensures that all monitoring QC test instruments/equipment are calibrated and checked for accuracy and see to it that calibration procedures, inspection and safekeeping are being carried out.
- Identifies training needs and performs coaching/mentoring function to improve the skill level of personnel.
- Ensures that the existing company and/or products certifications are renewed and lawfully followed.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by CMD and Manufacturing Director or other department managers on a case to case basis.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- - Responsible for the directing and supervision of QC/QA Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors
