POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clearance Coordinator is responsible to collects, sort and deliver documents, mails, materials to and
within divisional organization and other governmental and non-governmental departments and to
maintain archives for such communication. Assist in developing & maintaining relationships with
internal/external clients and intermediaries involved in securities clearance and custody transactions and
provide query/issue resolution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Assist for the execution of daily operational activities and ensure that jobs are completed, safely,
timely and within budget.
2. Assist in monitoring of securities settlement, funds transfer and income processing.
3. Ability to work with senior management on pricing as well as develop goals and objectives for current
and future projects desirable.
4. Develop and maintain positive business relationship with both internal and external customer and
intermediaries involved in securities clearance and custody transactions and provide query/issue
resolution.
5. Assist the Manager – Clearance to manage/administer customer portfolios consisting of
domestic/international securities and cash.
6. Assist with the interface for internal functional groups (i.e. Sales, Operations, Technology, Legal, etc.).
7. Follow up and liaise with different governmental and non-governmental departments on
documentation works and to follow up on local procurement processes.
8. Assist in managing the follow up transactions with bank as required.
9. Complete the necessary purchase orders and pick up supplies as needed.
10. Manage and liaise with media and participate in marketing campaigns.
11. Assist in reviewing, comment, negotiate legal agreements pertaining to Securities Clearance, and
ensure ongoing contract compliance.
12. Assist in reviewing, understand existing legal agreements, and ensure departmental compliance
with contractual obligations.
13. Ensure all the shipping documents are routed and controlled through the system.
14. Ensure that the forwarding/Master Invoices are raised no sooner the clearance of the shipments is
affected.
15. Attend meetings with the projects owners/clients for custom clearance procedures, duty exemptions
etc., as and when required.
16. Correspondence with the concerned authorities, clients, as and when required.
17. Visit clients and promote customs clearance business as necessary.
18. Check the correctness of translations and custom tariffs, allocated by the translators, for each line
item as mentioned in the shipping invoice.
19. Assist in arranging and ensuring in timely collection of Delivery Orders and process of clearance
documents to concerned custom authorities, for clearance of shipments.
20. Assist in preparation of custom duty list and its requirements.
21. Perform other duties as assigned.
