Job Purpose:
To support the organization by managing the payroll and benefits system and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures
Job Description:
• To handle employee payroll enquiries in accurate manner.
• To coordinate with Departments, Divisions, Projects on payroll related issues as per Company policy and procedures.
• To provide internal advice to the payroll section regarding routine payroll matters.
• To regularly update, compile and maintain Payroll logs and reports for Chief Accountant and Management.
• Analyzing competitors pay and reward and strategies to ensure theirs are competitive
• Implement appropriate payroll processes and controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of all payroll related activities;
• Ensure payroll is administered in accordance with general accounting principles
• Review timecard reports and payroll summaries for accuracy and completeness; initiate corrective action, as required;
• Perform manual calculations for leaves of absence, retro pay increments, temporary wage, benefits, and adjustments that impact pay;
• Process employee changes in the system including but not limited to new hires, termination, exemptions, group benefit coverage.
• Escalate discrepancies in salary, leave entitlements, and take corrective action in resolving system navigation problems and other payroll system-generated discrepancies;
• Conduct year-end audits, reconciliations, and preparations related to all payroll;
• Responsible for external market compensation benchmarking surveys- participation, analysis and action planning;
• Research, analyze and develop competitive market benchmarking for compensation structures for various Business Units using compensation reports and other data sources.
