My Job is: To lead procurement of low spend negotiations and placing orders. Source new products and new suppliers. Bring knowledge of the latest products, trends, pricing, market origins and suppliers. Ensure systems are updated to get accurate reports. Compliance of authority Matrix.
My job is Team Leader because: I take active responsibility for the management of a designated range of products or services including the sourcing, acquisition and working capital deployed on those products. I manage the supply base that provide them and manage on a day to day basis people. I issue POs and ensure compliance to policy, procedure, authority matrix and audit. I lead any assigned SCM projects from time to time.
I spend:
20% negotiations and building relationships with direct manufacturers and suppliers
20% research new, alternate materials/supplier/origins
40% preparing PO justifications, PO and approvals
10% staff training and developing
10% meeting with my Manager & external customers on Projects, Projections, Critical/Low/Nil and Marketing calendar
I know I’ve done a great job if:
Kout food group are achieving the lowest possible price and highest quality for the products specification we require
When I’m working within my targeted objectives for working capital and product spend
When I am controlling my PPV within the agreed budget
When there are no sudden shifts in the market that I did not predict through the use of market intelligence
When I have agreed specifications that the supplier can work to and be measured against
When my negotiated payment terms give the business a positive cash flow
When orders are all placed inside the standard lead time negotiated with the supplier
When my KPI targets for cost, service and quality are all hit
Provide my manager with necessary data and scenarios with key pros & cons to make effective decision
My team and me being part of larger team, succeed and are highlighted as being outstanding performers

Own and control write-off & Nil stocks
