As such, we are looking for an Employee Relations Officer to join our People Team.
As an Employee Relations Officer within the People Division your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Perform in a support role for employees engaging them on a regular basis through phone, email, and in person on all employment matters or personal issues or concerns that may be impacting work
- Addressing/resolving/coordinating any areas of concern
- Act as key facilitator of employees and management by providing guidance and counselling regarding problem solving, conflict/dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, litigation avoidance; proactively resolve internal conflict informally utilizing appropriate diplomacy and conflict management and mediation techniques
- Work with learning and development to recommend the development and initiation of programs on employee relations, effective transparency, and counselling
- Oversee the recognition programs for employee longevity and retirement programs
- Liaison with legal and HR heads to interpret and ensure labour and state law compliance regarding key grievance and conflict resolution matters
