A. Accountabilities:
1. Network Documentation:
Documentation of network & Infrastructure systems with detailed network diagrams and procedures. Below are the main areas where documentation is required.
- All routing & switching and one to one nats,
- Review and verify single line connectivity diagrams for firewalls and network and security devices.
- Online Banking (Web and Mobile Banking).
- All third-party connectivity such as central Bank, Civil Services, KNET, FDI
- All Internet Connectivity
- Data Center and Disaster Recovery Site Connectivity
- Head Office, Crystal tower and Branch Connectivity (Including Wireless).
- Chairman’s Network connectivity
- VPN connectivity
- ISDN and DID connectivity to main and DR site, DWDM (between datacenter)
- Ripe IP address details, ownership and routing details between datacenter.
2. Network Operations:
- Implement and maintain policies, procedures for network & infrastructure resources administration and appropriate use.
- Maintain network asset management, including maintenance of all component’s inventory, life cycle management and related documents.
- Bank Disaster Recovery readiness and its Tests
- Management and Operations of Bank’s Network & Infrastructure ensuring compliance with audit requirements
- Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose problems while maintaining minimal or no system outage with approvals.
- Provide support to all production systems on bank wide network specifically on data centers and IT Operations
- Manage local and wide-area voice and Data network specifically on data centers and IT Operations
- Manage local and wide-area Voice and Data networks by providing access to network resource, configuring and maintaining equipment, and monitoring network performance
- Provide support to achieve the maximum uptime for Bank Network with technical expertise in network Administration and configuration management.
- Effective use of Network Management tools to provide a better support to handle alerts, logs, reporting and action plans.
- Management and operations of local and wide area networking and also to comply with network audits and planning.
- Configuring and deploying of new Branch/Business units with Data Centers.
- Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose problems while maintaining minimal system outage.
- Ensure industry best practices are followed for all projects across the network
- Perform the hardening of all network devices.
- Support to the industry standard compliance on network devices.
- Configuration of Data and Voice network across the organization.
- Configuration and deployment of network topologies for Bank’s all internet related requirements using the popular routing protocols
- Branch visits for the network connectivity related incidents.
