• Determines need for repairs by road test, by use of mechanical testing devices, by questioning customer about vehicle’s performance, or by visual inspection of vehicle.
• Estimates cost of repair and prepares itemized work order, listing costs of parts and labor
• Deal with customer face to face and over the phone
• Check that the vehicle documentation is correct
• Verifies and updates vehicle information on computer
• Raise job cards and invoices
• Coordinate with customers to identify and record the fault or services required.
• Extensively liaise with clients and respective internal department or workshop etc. related to estimated time of job completion and to arrange alternative temporary replacement courtesy vehicle for client’s usage.
• Books the customer vehicles for services and repairs.
• Prepares overall progress and invoicing.
• Arranges the collection and delivery of customer vehicles.
• Performs any other tasks as assigned by the manager as per business requirements.
