Responsible for the profitability and business operations of the Ports division.
Proper task delegation/work plan to be given to middle management.
Managing maintenance team through Department Supervisor / Head.
Making sure all support is provided through procurement team to support operations and maintenance for having
quick turnaround for all breakdown vehicles
Managing the operation smoothly on day to day basis by proper control and ensuring that all the company polices
are adhered
Managing Container terminal (empty/full) by having a planned arrangements of containers stacked
Managing Port operations, vessel discharge & back loading with all the safety policies and procedure to be in line.
Managing a proper plan for all ports operations (Vessel handling and general cargo vessels)
Provide key inputs to the Division Head for corporate strategy planning for Ports
Continuously analyze the division’s resources including manpower and assets and planning on quantity and quality
of capital expenditure
Working closely with financial analyst for all Capex requirements.
Ensure adherence to financial plan in all key areas – revenues, margin & average costs involved and ensure
continuous alignment with the overall strategy and budgets
Partner with other Division Managers to address outstanding issues and achieve overall company business goals
and objectives
Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to prepare annual
plans and forecasts for the division by in-depth study of trends/historical data and prepare an overall budget for the
division to aid in the corporate planning process
Monitor and review the divisions operational performance including utilization continuously
Ensure competitive and cost effective service delivery by reducing time, improved utilization of resources
(laborers/equipments) and decreasing time-outs
Develop business unit policies, practices and procedures
Ensure operational compliance with best practices and quality assurance standards specified by regulators and
within Company alongside the QHSE department
Maintain relationships with key clients who are critical for the long term success of business on a day to day basis
Assist and review the drafting of contracts, agreements and proposal
Responsible for providing quotations to prospective clients
Liaise with government regulators (KPA) in port related issues.
Map competition prices / products and provide qualitative inputs to the business
Responsible for staff development activities comprising of supporting recruitment, team development and com plaint
resolution, set KPI’s for direct reports and conduct performance appraisal and also drive motivation levels of direct
reports
Assist the management in the fulfillment of its obligations, statutory or otherwise, concerning prevention of personal
injuries
Maintain a safe working environment
