Project : Government Project
The Document Controller organizes and maintains project drawings, documentation and related information such as that related to design, procurement, quality, construction and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain and monitor a project-wide platform, based on Project Document Management System, to facilitate all contractually significant communications, document distributions, workflow routines and other processes necessary to design and deliver the Project;
- Receive, register, organize, and maintain project documentation relating to design, quality, procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Maintain the project document numbering system and document templates;
- Ensure that documents are authorized, issued and distributed correctly.
- Provide a single coordination point for the management of project documents and records.
- Monitor the effectiveness of Document Management System and where necessary, identify and implement improvements to maintain efficiency
- Manage the project’s paper based systems for the storage, distribution, retrieval of documentation and records.
- Manage the distribution, preparation, control and monitoring of each correspondence of Multi-faced documentation.
- Provide a high level of quality assurance and technical review on all Document Management System matters relating to the project.
- Liaise with document originators and/or designers to ensure accuracy and to resolve discrepancies relating to the Document Management System.
- Ensure the construction, procurement and commissioning teams have access to the correct documentation and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
