Key Roles and Responsibilities
Visual Design & Planning
- Develop high quality visual merchandising strategies in coordination with Showroom Supervisors & the Marketing Department by creating captivating presentations and visual designs to engage customers, encourage retail sales activity and maximize sales whilst taking the budget into consideration.
- Develop, deliver and communicate visual concepts and strategies for online marketing and catalogues to promote retail products and services through social media.
- Develop and finalize detailed visual plans for all promotional marketing events, presentations, exhibitions, demonstrations and for showrooms, which would include visual guidelines, layout principles, visual dressings and signage in collaboration with the Retail & Marketing Department.
Visual Merchandising
- Coordinate with the Administration Department to source the necessary materials, fabrics, hardware, lightings and accessories cost effectively and communicate with vendors to execute the design decisions.
- Execute floor arrangements, placement, and promotion set-up in liaison with Marketing Promotional Designers to arrange dynamic visual displays on showroom sales floor that generates interest by customers, timely flow of product from back stock to sales floor and maintenance of standards of showroom floors at all times in coordination with showroom staff.
- Manage stock control by tracking current stock and upcoming marketing promotions & it’s replenishment by shelving, products
and displays in the showrooms in coordination with the Purchasing Department.
- Recommend visual styles of promotion to management and source materials for new product introduction according to pre-decided budget & plan.
- Conduct regular visits to all layouts in showrooms and marketing presentations, identify any damages on visual displays and take corrective measures if necessary.
- Seek feedback from customers for the visual impact of displays and implement changes accordingly.
- Define and continually update detailed principles for both store layout as well as product visual merchandising using customer insight and other feedback.
- Build external networks to understand market trends and competitor activity that will allow to maintain a competitive advantage in the market.
- Provide training to the store team about design concepts, visual display standards, and the proper maintenance of the overall
visual display effort by providing on-the-job training and feedback to actively support the visual merchandising efforts.
- Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by management.
