MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To act as a liaison between EPC Contractor/Client/Technical Engineering Services and the project for all technical issues and to coordinate activities of Technical Departments, find solutions to technical problems & to ensure proper execution of all technical works.
JOB OBJECTIVES
1. To analyse information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems for the project & client.
2. To quantify the materials required from the drawings and recommend the specifications to procure the materials and to liaise with the client for free issue material.
3. To supervise a team of engineers and draftsmen/CADD operators and coordinate the work of all disciplines to accomplish tasks and to ensure that all details are included in drawings.
4. To study and interpret the construction specification and drawings; identify any design problems, conflicts and to resolve the same.
5. To review, approve and implement all engineering standards, policies and procedures.
6. To oversee the coordination and development of work plans and specification.
7. To implement policies, established procedures and expedite workflow.
8. To manage technical office team, programs or functions, develop goals and objectives and ensure that staff has an appropriate project understanding.
9. To prepare budget requests and administer adopted budget in assigned areas of responsibility.
10. To represent technical office team in meetings with consultant engineers, third party agencies, construction project engineers, professional and technical groups and sub-contractors regarding project activities.
11. To take leadership of and provide direction to technical office team and manage and ensure resolution of problems.
12. To maintain all documents in an organized manner for easy reference and to prepare the hand over documents at the time of project close out
