JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:
Participate in the preparation of KFH Group business plans to ensure that the plans are aligned to the group’s vision and strategic priorities. Coordinate with HR, IT Demand Mgt, and General Services, Risk Management and Group Finance and Accounting in order to assist the Head of Corporate planning in the development of budgets, group strategy and consolidation of annual business plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision of Subordinates
- Organise and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within the Innovation Centre is carried out in an efficient manner and consistent with operating procedures and policy.
- Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.
Budgets & Plans
- Contribute to the preparation of the Innovation Centre budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.
- Monitor the financial situation of the Innovation Centre versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
Corporate Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with key functions (Risk, Finance & Accounting) to develop strategic thinking and outline corporate functional strategic plans to ensure that functional managers understand the importance of alignment of business plans with corporate functional strategic plans.
- Consolidate individual business plans of banking subsidiaries functions (e.g. budgets, initiatives and requirements) in order to develop a high level view of alignment with KFH vision and strategic priorities.
- Assist in determining strategic options in order to feed ideas and for consideration into the strategic planning process.
Strategic Planning Reporting
- Develop timely, accurate and complete progress reports in order to assist the Head of Corporate Strategy in updating KFH senior management on the status of the development and consolidation of banking subsidiaries business plans.
- Develop guidelines and templates to facilitate business planning and budgeting and to ensure that the output is coherent, neatly organised in a specified format so it can be analysed and consolidated efficiently.
Continuous Improvement
- Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering a specific area of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
