Roles & Responsibilities
- To develop, recommend and implement a clear strategic vision and mission for the Cultural Centre communicating these effectively to staff, stakeholders and the public
- To lead, manage, motivate, inspire and develop the management team and staff to ensure the efficient, effective and professional management of all resources
- To launch the Cultural Centre, and over time to build an event program across all the Centre’s venues.
- To create future business plan and an operating budget for the cultural center including a budget for an events program
Key Tasks
- Lead and guide the management team in the delivery of quality service and operations across the Cultural Centre facilities
- Develop a clear operating and management strategy for the Cultural Centre and ensure that all staff are focused on meeting the strategic objectives
- Develop and maintain strong external links with the client team, stakeholders, members of the community and regional authorities
- Prepare annual targets and budgets in association with the departmental heads and management team
- Monitor and evaluate service delivery to measure impact and success against targets set.
- Ensuring the appropriate performance management of the service is undertaken and that guidelines, procedures and policies are followed in all areas
- Have overall responsibility for the operation, performance, ethos and activities of the Cultural Centre
- Regular attendance at key Cultural center events including first nights and corporate events as required to greet the local press.Tracking and archiving any local press coverage
