Position: Construction Costing Engineer Employment Type: Full- Time Key Responsibilities: • Review and analyze tender documents (BOQs, drawings, technical specifications). • Perform highly accurate quantity take- offs from drawings and tender documents. • Prepare accurate cost estimates and commercial proposals for structural projects. • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and execution teams for cost accuracy and realistic scheduling. • Propose value- engineered solutions that enhance profitability without compromising quality or technical compliance. • Identify new tender opportunities and conduct market analysis to support business growth. • Continuously improve internal pricing methodologies and cost databases. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of hands- on experience pricing construction projects in Kuwait (local contracting firms preferred). • In- depth knowledge of prevailing market rates in Kuwait for materials, labor, and related services. • Demonstrated ability to perform precise and reliable quantity take- offs from construction drawings and tender packages. • Proficiency in CostX or WinQS; advanced Excel skills. • Solid understanding of contract terms, payment conditions, and financial risk management. • Strong communication skills; able to work under pressure within multidisciplinary teams.
