We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team in Al Kuwait, Kuwait. As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will play a crucial role in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as providing financial analysis and reporting to the management team. The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and present financial statements and reports to the management team.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as auditors and tax consultants.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting regulations, and best practices.
- Train and supervise junior accounting staff.
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA or CMA is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
