On behalf of our client in Freight services, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Coordinator to join the team. The Freight Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the movement of goods and products for the company. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of freight forwarding and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the shipment of goods and products to customers, suppliers, and vendors
- Manage and monitor transportation providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Communicate with carriers and vendors to negotiate rates and resolve issues
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare and process necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs paperwork
- Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure effective communication and efficient shipment management
- Analyze and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and improve delivery times
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipment activity and related costs
