The Audit Senior will be expected to:
- Plan, supervise and execute audit and review engagements
- Supervise and mentor assigned engagement teams
- Review of the work of engagement teams
- Communicate with the client teams to resolve audit issues
- Communicate and update audit manager and lead engagement partner
- Prepare reports and summaries of audits
Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of International Standards on Auditing and related pronouncements
- Deep knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and related pronouncements
- Ability to plan and execute audits using risk-based audit approach
- Ability to liaise with the client and senior engagement team
- Ability to liaise with component auditors
- Ability to supervise staff
- Ability to review and analyse financial statements
- Knowledge of complex consolidation entries
- Knowledge of the Kuwait commercial laws
- Knowledge and ability to use proficiently standard office computer software, including Microsoft office, email and internet applications.
- Well-developed organization and time management skills, and the ability to work on own initiative, accurately to tight deadlines, and to prioritize between conflicting demands as the candidate will have to cater to multiple client demands each month simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively communicate by telephone, face to face, email and written with clients, and the ability to work within a team
