- Supervise the process of patient records analysis, compilation, coding, indexing, storage and retrieval and ensure the viability of the electronic records system.
- Conduct site visits for every Primary Healthcare Center (PHC) at on a regular basis to ensure that staff is functioning properly and efficiently and assist them with the day to day work.
- Conduct random audits at each Primary Healthcare Center at regular intervals to determine the completeness of the medical record and to ensure accuracy, and appropriateness of data and the overall adequacy.
- Ensure that subordinates across the PHCs are maintaining confidentiality of all patient’s information and ensure that such accessibility is only available to authorized personnel.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses and to obtain additional information in order to ensure that records are complete and accurate.
- Review logs pertaining to patient’s files movements and ensure that all medical records are retrieved and in place.
- Ensure proper use of classification software by the staff to assign clinical codes and record data electronically for collection, storage, analysis, retrieval, and reporting.
