To facilitate the raw materials (Ferro Alloys & Additives) procurement process from the best sources based on lowest prices, delivery time and quality reliability.
Working knowledge of supply policies, materials management principles, systems and procedures.
Technical know-how on commodities handled.
Keep a constant check on stock levels.
Responsible for the processing of purchase order (PO) for all local and import purchase of raw material (Ferro alloys & additives) required by the company.
Should be able to interpret specifications and negotiate and follow up with different local and foreign suppliers, fabricators and manufacturers.
Evaluates offers and further negotiates for better deals in terms of specifications, prices, delivery, payment terms etc.
Coordinates with end users, suppliers, technical experts and other associates involved in the process to verify requirements, speed up delivery of items, etc.
Complies with safety and company guidelines on business ethics.
Keeps a well-organized collection of contracts for easy reference when needed
