Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- · Prepare plans, details, specified and cost estimated of plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, and general piping system.
- Provide technical advice to designers, supervisor, inspectors and contracting service providers, regarding installation and maintenance of MEP System.
- ·Analyze mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions.
- ·Prepare and deliver effective oral presentations whenever required.
- Advise of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress.
- Continually review and report changes to the construction schedule during the progress of the site works with regards to MEP services.
- Take part in risk workshops and report any risks associated with MEP installations or general projects to the Program Manager.
- Prepare & Review the installation method statements.
- Review shop drawings against the design drawings for compliance with the design intent with appropriate comments/approval within the specified time limits.
- Review mechanical shop drawings.
- Where required prepare technical clarifications to the design to suit specific onsite construction and coordination issues.
- Review mechanical services material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise.
- Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
- Preparation of Design Drawings: AutoCad drafting of electrical construction documents.
- Site investigations: Attend project site investigations to document existing electrical systems and equipment.
- Lighting Calculations: Perform photometric illumination calculations of interior and exterior lighting designs to determine light levels as per RFP requirements and code compliance.
- Product evaluation for legitimate CE or UL-listed products.
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings or topographical maps.
- Establishing construction, manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
- Electrical Systems Analysis: Short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies using power systems software
- Electrical System Branch Circuiting: Prepare device layouts, branch circuiting, and panelboard schedules in Auto Cad.
- Research and design HVAC mechanical equipment to meet client requirements in both large and small projects.
- Consult on HVAC system and equipment design for a wide range of projects, and work with other engineers, project managers, and construction professionals as needed to create and/or modify design parameters.
- Analyze HVAC systems and equipment when necessary to find inefficiencies or malfunctions and create solutions to optimize performance and increase the efficiency of operation.
- Communicate directly with customers to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments in order to evaluate cost, feasibility, and implementation of new HVAC equipment.
