  • Verifies accuracy and completeness of the credit (DR) and Investment proposals

  • Evaluates independently credit and investment proposals in terms of financials, source of repayment, structure of facilities & adequacy of collateral/support

  • Checks compliance with Central Bank regulations and Bank's Credit Policy

  • Confirms proposals are objectively & correctly risk graded

  • Suggests means to mitigate potential/existing risks assisting in the credit decision process

  • Periodically reviews loans assigned in order to analyze the following:




    • Credit quality & Risk Grading

    • Review of documentation and collateral/support

    • Compliance with credit approval conditions

    • Usage of facilities




  • Reviews current credit policies for the Bank's various areas of business and establishes a comprehensive, consolidated Credit Policy Manual integrating the Bank's lending norms and statutory boundaries

  • Performs macro analysis on the Bank's Lending Portfolio and does evaluations, as and when required

  • Undertakes specific credit related projects that enhance the credit culture

  • Assist other units in regards to risk management, as and when required.

  • Sees to any additional request made by Division Head, Executive or Manager
