Applied Behavior Center of Kuwait (ABC) provides early intervention services to children with autism and related disorders. ABC offers educational programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABC provides a full range of educational, home-based, and center – based treatment programs designed to help children with autism and other related developmental disabilities under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
Description:
ABC is currently seeking a qualified Case Manager for a 2 year contract. All interested applicants should have an accredited Bachelor degree in Psychology or related field, Master’s degree in ABA given preferences and a minimum of 2-3 years post-graduate experience.
Responsibilities:
- An hour session with each child on the team per week
- Develop, supervise, modify and run IEP related programs for center-based and consultation clients
- Ensure that staff understand and comply with the center’s rules, regulations and code
- Inform Supervisor about any problems on specific child cases or any issues that may arise within the team
- Communicate with parent/caregivers at the reception about the child’s session each day
- Communicate with clinical team members about any relevant information regarding a client on their respective teams
- Communicate with clinical team members, supervisors and administration staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Communicate with other ABC staff (HR, Admin, Clinical Assistant, Staff Trainer) regarding matters that are related to other staff’s roles and responsibilities
- Collaborate with other Professionals regarding child’s programs and behaviors (Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapists, Academic Tutors, School Teachers, etc.)
- Review all IEP related data (Behavior Programs, Behavior Protocols, Assessments, etc.) and make necessary clinical decisions regarding it
- Write up progress reports on IEP related programs (Summary reports, Progress reports, KOC reports, End of Services Reports, etc.)
- Schedule regular meeting with clients based on the ABC calendar together with the Supervisor or the Lead Instructor when the latter is not available (IEP, midterm, progress, End of services, school)
- Supervise training of staff on the team (new staff, volunteers, Instructors and Lead Instructors)
- Additional tasks assigned by Supervisor or Director which may directly impact the staff's growth and development in the center and maybe based on Case Manager’s current skill repertoire, capabilities and seniority
- Audit staff performance monthly
- Update parents on progress of the child on a biweekly basis via phone or in person when the child is picked up or dropped off at the reception
- Train Parents, Nannies and Caregivers on the child’s IEP programs and goals
- Give out Refresher Training to staff of both centers
