Applied Behavior Center of Kuwait (ABC) provides early intervention services to children with autism and related disorders. ABC offers educational programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABC provides a full range of educational, home-based, and center – based treatment programs designed to help children with autism and other related developmental disabilities under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
ABC is currently seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist for a 2 year contract. All interested applicants should have an accredited Masters degree in Occupational therapy and a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience. A license to practice in the individual’s country of residence is essential, and experience with clients with special needs would be an advantage.
Occupational therapists are responsible for assessing and recommending programs to target relevant deficits as well as continuous monitoring of these goals. All members of the clinical team must undergo ABA training's and follow ABA guidelines and protocols. Using a consultative model, occupational therapists will be scheduled for weekly sessions with children to run specific targets, and will be responsible to train therapists to run those programs. Parent communication is also required.
