Responsible to achieve the targeted sales of used cars by implementing effective sales techniques, ensuring that all vehicles are sold after proper reconditioning unless and otherwise not required by the customer and also shall ensure that customer service standards are always met.
- Recruit, hire, train, and oversee a team of automotive salespeople in the used car department.
- Oversee all activities occurring in the used car showroom.
- Set sales goals, track progress, and lead the team to achieve and exceed the targets.
- Step in to answer customer questions and issues when required.
- Coordinate and lead all regular sales meetings with the sales staff.
- Continuously measure and evaluate the performance of the sales compare it to targets, investigate reasons for any deviations, and implement remedy steps for corrections.
- Make sure that the sales staff have sufficient product knowledge and selling techniques, and recommend training programs.
- Create, implement and manage a system to follow up on buyers of previously used cars.
- Attend to customer complaints, ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained.
- Review competitors’ products & selling procedures in order to make recommendations for development & to achieve superiority over competitors.
- Propose the appropriate promotional & advertising programs in order to widely spread knowledge of the company’s products.
- Create cost analysis & suggesting the pricing policy for approval of the Brand Manager.
- Ensure sales department make contact with current & potential customers.
- Maintain the company’s customer data accurately and completely, in the Kerridge Autoline System.
- Provide the manager with exact information on the management of floor activities, on a daily basis.
- Fill in the completed transaction sheets and forward them to accounting in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain standards for the delivery of cars to the customers.
Process the sales advisors’ commission sheets. - Analyze the various customer satisfaction reports and submit recommendations to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
- Present reports and updates to the general manager on work activities.
- Ensure that all administrative and clerical functions within the Used Car department are carried out in accordance with the company and dealership policies.
- To monitor and measure the performance of Used Car department and put in place Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to ensure that they are providing the highest level of customer service and delivery.
- Ensure that previously used vehicles intended for the retail market are covered by a legal warranty of fitness.
