Job Purpose:

Responsible for conducting X-Ray radiographic images, identifying radiographic equipment malfunctions and errors, in addition to the submission of radiographic images assessment reports.

 

X-Ray Radiography Activities

• 
  
• Conduct X-Ray radiology and diagnostic imaging activities to ease clinical diagnostics for patients.
• 
  
• Implement radiation safety measures and adhere to DHAMAN’s primary healthcare center’s radiology policies and procedures.
• 
  
• Evaluate the need for and use protective shielding through taking the appropriate precautions to minimize the radiation exposure to the patients.
• 
  
• Ensure all X-Ray radiologic images are taken with no effect on the patient’s health and wellbeing, and do not affect his/her current medical condition.
• 
  
• Gain patient trust by reducing concerns, and answer patients’ questions to ease radiologic process and enforce patients’ cooperation.
• 
  
• Provide explanations to the patient, i.e., diet restrictions, preparatory medications, and prior to an imaging procedure.
• 
  
• Explain the imaging procedure to the patient or the patient's relatives in full according to the patient's level of understanding, and allow time for further questions, in private, if necessary.
• 
  
• Select immobilization device - when necessary - to prevent the patient from moving during the procedure and also to ensure the patient's safety and comfort.
• 
  
• Conduct equipment and quality checks to eliminate any malfunctions and errors, oversee equipment required maintenance by relevant stakeholders, in addition to attending the required training by vendors.
• 
  
• Maintain and document all X-Ray radiologic images and patient records.
• 
  
• Prevent any unauthorized personnel from entering or remaining in an area during X-Ray
• 
  
• Implement all X-Ray radiology operational activities in conformance with all statutes and regulations of DHAMAN’s primary healthcare center.
• 
  
• Secure the transfer of the patients to and from the radiology sections to the wards.
•
