General Practice Activities
- Work closely with Physicians and ensure all medical treatment is served in a well-respected manner.
- Supervises the clinics’ medical work and assist the Physicians in medical cases by providing the subject matter expert opinion.
- Facilitate the Physicians’ communication with other medical sections (such as clinical support functions and nursing services), and ensure all support is provided to Physicians which serves best the medical treatment of the primary healthcare center patients.
- Review the medical and clinical records of the primary healthcare centers’ patients – when needed - and ensure they are properly administered by staff.
- Conduct periodic rounds over the primary healthcare center, and observe providing the medical treatment to the center’s patients, and escalate any deviation / issues to the PHC Medical Services Manager.
- Assist the Physicians team in analyzing the records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient; in order to provide medical treatment upon such results.
- Endorse the process of referring diagnosed patients to specialist doctors in DHAMAN and governmental hospitals as per the identified cases.
- Discuss abnormal cases with Physicians, ensure proper and matching treatment is provided and report difficult cases to relevant stakeholders as required.
- Oversee the process of documenting patient records and maintaining patient information by Physicians, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
- Review and approve all reports prepared by Physicians – when required by governmental entities – on patient examination results and medical treatment provided.
- Assist in updating DHAMAN’s protocols and principles of practice as requested, and ensure all Physicians’ adherence to the local and international medical guidelines and recommendations
