Job Purpose:
Responsible for providing the required assistance to clinical Physicians in terms of conducting patient care activities, collection of patients’ required information, providing medications, and providing information and assistance to the patients and their families as appropriate.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Nursing Services Activities
- Provide pre and post-treatment care for Physician’s clinical patients, and monitor and administer medication provided as guided by the assigned Physician.
- Prepare clinical treatment rooms for Physicians & Dentists operations as per the pre-set procedures and protocols.
- Handle the collection of patient vitals, samples, temperature and blood pressure, communicate the same to the assigned Physician, in addition to highlighting abnormal signs to ease medical diagnostics.
- Assess information and data regarding the patients’ culture, lifestyle, and interest and other factors that may positively impact their treatment outcomes.
- Administer drugs and medical supplies, and use the same as per the medical case needs and requirements.
- Implement all patient care and quality improvement initiatives, and communicate observed deviations to Head Nurse.
- Ensure all medications are provided to primary healthcare patients according to physicians’ instructions and requests.
- Provide basic education information to patients and their families focusing on self-care, while taking into consideration the appropriateness to their age and medical conditions.
- Adhere to the guidelines pertaining to the disposal of bio-hazardous materials and the labelling protocols of all materials.
- Supervise the Healthcare Assistants in providing required care, and provide them with the required assistance when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records, and communicate the same to the required stakeholders when needed.
