Job Purpose:
Responsible for the dental diagnostic and treatment of patients by conducting required teeth, gums and jaws examination and treatment, requesting diagnostic tests and prescribing medications as required by the dental case.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing medical examination for teeth, gums and jaws diseases or abnormalities, evaluate dental health and plan appropriate treatments.
- Recommend required treatment to patients, and provide patients with the proper preventative dental care.
- Suggest treatment methods and explain them to the patient to determine which is best for them based on their situation.
- Discuss abnormal cases, and report difficult cases to relevant stakeholders as required.
- Responsible for referring diagnosed patients to specialists in DHAMAN and/ or governmental hospitals as per the identified case.
- Monitor patient conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary, in addition to formulating dental treatment plan for patient's teeth and gums issues.
- Manage the off-site treatments of patients by prescribing suitable medication with correct dosage.
- Provide explanation to patients following their medical examination addressing specific questions and concerns expressed by them during the course of the examination.
- Responsible for documenting patient records and maintaining patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
