Responsibilities
Plan, implement and track the
Operations Division business plan, annual budget and strategy
Collaborate with other internal
teams to improve the division’s performance
Determine key supply chain KPIs for
each function in the division and track their achievements on a periodic manner
Suggest solutions for process
improvements and cost reduction in all functions within the division
Identify process bottleneck and
implement solutions in a timely manner
Develop, maintain and update the job
description of every member in the division
Train and evaluate the team member’s
performance on a periodic basis
Provide constructive feedback for
team members
Work with finance, sales, and other
concerned teams to determine the best suppliers and distributors
Build and maintain good relationships
with suppliers and distributors
Develop, teach and reinforce the
highest guidelines and protocols in safety and health and quality assurance
Develop, maintain and update the
policy and procedures for each function in the division
Follow up after accidents and
injuries on the floor and develop a preventive strategy for such incidents in
future
Create supply chain management
strategies that increase efficiency and speed
Provide operational support and
guidance to ensure maximum productivity
Collaborate with other departments to
identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps
Focus on safety, high quality
standards, cost management and business growth in all interactions and
directives
Supervise and lead the clearance team
and suggest ways to speed up the process
Supervise and lead the maintenance
team for the company
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly,
quarterly and yearly reports to top management
Optimize warehouse functions
Handle communications and
negotiations with all external parties (suppliers, clearance houses..etc)
Assist in the improvement of product
offerings, inventory and warehouse maintenance, manufacturing and packaging,
shipment and delivery, and returns on products
Keep detailed records, generate
reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the
performance of the division, issues faced and recommended solutions
Read and comprehend legal documents,
such as contracts and agreements with the help of the legal advisor
Supervise and assist the procurement
team to source the right products with the best commercial terms and
high-quality standards
Negotiate contracts with suppliers
and customers
Control and supervise the purchasing,
clearance, warehousing, segregation, packaging and delivery processes
Plan and implement logistical
strategy, ensuring targets are met on time
Oversee product storage, handling and
distribution
Use computer software to track goods
from origin to delivery
Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping
an accurate record of the process and analyzing performance
Manage and motivate a team of supply
chain staff
Improve the overall supply chain
performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
Recommend and implement new
technologies and stay alert to new trends in the sector
Oversee creation of processes and
methods to gather supply chain data across all functions within the division
Process data, identifying problematic
areas and suggesting improvements
Design and implement necessary supply
chain optimization projects
Develop, implement and update the
division policies and procedures (e.g. procurement, shipping, clearance,
warehousing, segregation, packaging, quality assurance, logistics…etc)
Analyze, optimize, and oversee
inventory procedures
Uncover the most cost-effective
shipping modes and schedules and recommend the best method per product per
supplier
Work with IT professionals to implement
efficient systems
Evaluate existing suppliers and
distributors on a periodic basis
Track and improve the process of
products delivery
Recommend the best way to manage the
slow-moving items
Recommend the best way to manage the
damaged items and returns
Evaluate the segregation and
packaging process and suggest ways to improve efficiency and productivity
Evaluate the current logistical
system and suggest ways to improve the efficiency and productivity while
minimizing the overall cost
