Job Purpose:
Responsible for leading the Dentists team in providing best in class medical treatment to the primary healthcare center’s patients, provide guidance pertaining to the dental treatment practices, and ensure adherence by the Dentists to the dental medical treatment guidelines
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Dental Activities
- Work closely with Dentists and ensure all dental treatment is served in a well-respected manner.
- Supervise the clinics’ dental work and assist the Dentists in medical cases by providing the subject matter expert opinion.
- Facilitate Dentists’ communication with clinical support functions, and ensure all support is provided to them serving best the dental treatment of the primary healthcare center patients.
- Review the dental records of the primary healthcare centers’ patients, and ensure they are properly administered by Dentists.
- Conduct periodic rounds over the primary healthcare center, observe providing the dental treatment to the center’s patients, and escalate any deviation / issues to the PHC Medical Services Manager and the Group PHCs Dental Manager.
- Discuss abnormal cases with Dentists, ensure proper and matching treatment is provided and report difficult cases to relevant stakeholders as required.
- Oversee the process of documenting patient records and maintaining patient information by Dentists, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
- Manage the process of referring diagnosed patients to DHAMAN and governmental hospitals as per the identified case.
- Review and approve all reports prepared by Dentists – when required by governmental entities – on patient dental examination results and treatment provided.
- Ensure all Dentists adhere to the local and international medical guidelines and recommendations.
