Job Purpose:
Responsible for supervising nursing services activities within the primary healthcare centre, and ensuring nursing records are maintained and all medical supplies, medications and equipment are sufficient at all times.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Nursing Services Activities
- Supervise nursing activities to ensure delivering high quality of patient care, maintaining professional staff relations and efficient services within the primary healthcare center.
- Oversee nursing care and patients visits in order to ensure that nursing and treatment activities are provided in accordance to Physicians and Dentists’ instructions.
- Supervise the update of patient’s e-medical records, and ensure they are updated and maintained accurate.
- Conduct periodic inspections on rooms and wards to ensure their cleanness and comfort.
- Identify patient emergencies and treat them in cooperation with medical staff.
- Ensure all medications are provided to primary healthcare patients according to Physicians and Dentists’ instructions and requests.
- Supervise conducting medical assessment of patients upon admission, and ensure collection of basic health history information, family diseases, allergies against drugs/food, etc.
- Provide basic education information to patients and their families focusing on self-care, while taking into consideration the appropriateness totheir age and medical conditions.
- Accompany physicians on patients’ rounds and keep track of any special orders concerning them.
- Supervise ordering and requisition of drugs, solutions, and equipment, and maintain accurate records on narcotics.
- Responsible for maintaining sufficient medical supplies, medications and equipment to ensure a well-equipped & well supplied.
People Management:
- Ensure training & development services are successfully and meaningfully being delivered, and provide feedback to the Group PHCs Nursing Services Manager.
- Delegate some responsibilities to appropriate subordinates in order to ensure a smooth flow of the section’s operations.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, evaluation, and supervision of employees
