- Experience in designing & engineering of Solar PV systems
- Strong knowledge of photovoltaic system design and optimizing system components for energy production
- Experience in creating and finalizing Balance of Materials with required standards and specifications from the plant design
- Understanding of the Balance of Systems and its operations
- Experience with PV System energy modeling tools and ability to run simulation on PVsyst and capable to do optimization and production modeling
- Familiarity with design codes & standards for design and construction of solar PV systems
- Create engineering details, elevations, single line diagrams and other engineering and construction support documents
- Evaluate system performance components including voltage drop, power loss, and circuit length
- Field experience in installation, startup and commissioning
- Knowledge of electric substation and interconnection system
- Connections with suppliers and contractors.
- Create detailed Bills of Materials for projects
- Generation estimation and preparation of performance model
- Responsible for creating and maintaining standard designing package and leading the evaluation of alternate designs
- Prepare standard technical documentation & making required changes as per the site conditions and proposal requirements
- Provide engineering and technical support during the Solar PV RFI and RFP process as needed
- Seek and evaluate proposals for engineering services
- Coordinate engineering consultants to develop project construction drawings and support material
- Review and comment on design deliverables provided by consultants and contractors for the construction of projects
- Respond to contractor RFIs during course of construction
- Perform QA/QC field inspections and punch list development
- Perform Job Safety Assessments and Safety Walks to identify job-site hazards
- Review and perform commissioning reports and analyze system performance
