Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing all Clinical IT application (Inpatient Applications, Clinic Ancillary Applications) design, development and implementation activities for DHAMAN’s Clinical facilities, Corporate Office and Business Units while ensuring meeting the need of DHAMAN’s various business requirements to support its Operations across the Corporate Office and Business Units (Hospitals and Primary Healthcare Centres).
Key roles & responsibilities:
IT Applications
- Manage all stages of clinical application development and integration projects to meet DHAMAN’s business objectives
- Lead a team of IT specialists responsible for implementing and upgrading application software to ensure that the servers are all ready before implementing new system.
- Provide technical leadership in the design and development of Applications which meets DHAMAN operations requirements as well as identify suitable new and emerging technologies, develop business cases & coordinate proof of concept.
- Provide technical expertise in the development of new and existing applications through assessing the requirements of new workflows, liaising with suppliers on issues pertaining to routine and adhoc and working with Clinical Applications staff to ensure that interfaces with other applications and third party products work.
- Act as the in-house expert on all software applications issues and provide advice and training to DHAMAN management and staff as required as well as identify the development of new software applications.
- Monitor and control the software development budget in coordination with IT Project Management section.
- Manage testing within application development projects, as well as take responsibility for the integrity of testing activities across DHAMAN system changes.
- Provide technical support and problem resolution related to business application software systems through reviewing the issue and come up with a solution whenever there is a problem with the software.
- Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures that include Application Support Procedures, System and Technical Configuration Documentation and User Training for new systems.
- Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
