Operational:
- Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Keep a close watch on the Opex / Capex budgets and highlight any likely overages on a timely basis.
- Manages AP. Includes, Customer Vendor Relations, and the Owner Finance team which handles all cheque disbursements.
- Ensure that all the cheques processed and paid by the Owner Co. is updated correctly in the system so that Accounts payable shows the correct balance for all Malls.
- Complete tracking of the Fixed asset related payments and liaising with the appropriate teams for the receipt and disposal of all movable items.
- Ensure accuracy of the Inventory records in various departments for payment, receipt, consumption and closing stock. Performing physical stock check as per the Company internal policy and procedure.
- Manage all the Service agreements in system and report exceptions to the FM/CFO. Liaise with different teams to renew the same in a timely manner.
- Ensure the deduction of withholding tax based on the agreed company policy and release the same up on receipt of the tax certificate. Timely update of the WHT schedule for all Malls.
- Keep a complete track of all the project payments and highlight any discrepancies against the budget/contract value.
- Provides accounting assistance to various departments; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
- Review and oversee the schedule of recoverable payments and invoicing thereof to ensure all recoverable payments are invoiced and recovered
- Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary.
- Preparation of any ad-hoc reports as requested.
People Management:
- Supervise, train and guide the AP Accountants.
- Collaborate and work effectively within the internal teams by participating in meetings, sharing knowledge and helping team members on technical matters.
- Carry out all other duties within the areas of Finance as and when requested by the Management
