Job purpose
Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the production are completed within budget, according to the design and work orders, overseeing the cost effectiveness and planning of the entire production process.
GENERIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Production Management: Organizing workflow within factory and manufacturing department to meet specifications and deadlines
2. Cost Control: Estimating costs and preparing budgets for all works and projects within manufacturing
3. Relationship Management: Liaising with other
managers to formulate objectives and understanding project requirements
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
4. Cost & Budget Control: Input and hold responsibility for manufacturing budgets; prepare the annual Manufacturing budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards; manage the budget from identification to completion of projects; responsible for achieving budget and forecast
5. Production Management: Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimizing costs where possible and
ensuring best working practices are maintained at all times; responsible for factory production, financial performance, meeting customer requirements and maintaining the orderly and productive operation of planned activities; ensure
the target productivity level is achieved on a daily basis; update the production plan on a daily basis; drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis; attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions; perform root cause analysis and resolve problems; identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required; conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department;
6. Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance; ensure an effective interface with other departmental staff is maintained; liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers; work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the purchasing strategy; communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and
potential effects on engineering design and development; recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimizing cost;
7. Quality Control: Support, comply and ensure
complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures
