The role assists the Manager to efficiently manage operations and sales contribution through maximizing every opportunity to drive sales, reduce stock loss and maintain cost controls. The position helps in delivering the highest level of motivation and development of team members and compliance in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
SALES:
- Assists to ensure monthly sales target is achieved and that all sales opportunities are maximized
- Monitors and aligns Store Management Team regarding store activities, item movement, replenishment, out-of-stock, etc.
- Checks after sales activities and transactions from item home delivery, to customer's experience and feedback, in both the item and rederred staff service
- Participates in leading the store/showroom team in planning and organizing additional opportunities to promote sales (e.g., showroom exhibition, trade shows, product sale/promotion, etc.)
- Works with the Marketing Team for support in any planned in-store promotion, seasonal sale and media communication
VISUAL MERCHANDISING/INTERIOR DESIGNING:
- Checks and monitors standard application of in-store/showroom displays/designs of the Visual Merchandising and Designing Teams
- Works with the VM and Designing Teams in floor layouting and presentation, housekeeping, as well as, replenishment principles as per brand standards
- Checks that guidelines and standards for visual presentation and store/showroom interior designing are being followed
STOCK LOSS CONTROL:
- Implements safety and security control measures which include safety of employees, customers; security against merchandise loss, damage, theft, pilferage and crisis prevention of store/showroom (e.g., fire)
- Ensures that store/showroom is within predefined yearly stock loss/aging target/margin
- Ensures that store/showroom accurately carries out all loss prevention activities e.g., POS activities, customer traffic, facilities use, etc.
- Involves self in continuously seeking opportunities and awareness to reduce stock loss
STAFF MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION:
- Ensures that all staff attains highest possible levels of customer service, manpower and work productivity
- Ensures delivery of highest standards of in-store/showroom training including weekly communication meetings, regular debriefs, product knowledge and on-job trainings
- Recommends staff areas of training needs and ensures that these are addressed through training and development
- Monitors staff performance and identifies potential employees to be put under development programs
STORE/SHOWROOM OPERATIONS:
- Ensures systematic flow of work and standard operations, showroom policies and procedures, rules and regulations
- Ensures cleanliness and orderliness and proper showcasing of items with regards to health and safety
- Ensures daily bank deposits, petty cash control and liquidation
- Ensures awareness in internal communication e.g., emails, memos, incoming/outgoing business correspondences
- Ensures standard activity compliance of online customer service staff e.g., contact center agents, in-store CS representatives or Helpline Desk staff
- Re-checks customer item return/exchange/discount/promo transactions / stock transfers, delivery and inventory documents
- Heads the periodical/yearly store/showroom inventory/stock-taking
- Supports management decisions, requirements, expectations and deliverables
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed by his/her Line Manager/
