We are currently searching for a Civil Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. The Civil Engineer must demonstrate a minimum of 10 yrs. experience of working as a Civil Engineer on a mall project in the Middle East.
The Civil Engineer shall be involved in the planning and management of civil construction projects, covering all types of commercial construction, particularly in the area of mall projects.
Responsibilities
- Follow and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for design review and project mobilization as necessary
- Requests supplementary design information if the original information is missing or not clear.
- Inspects the works at each stage of construction. Prepare check lists. Advise contractor of non-conforming works. Ensure correction of works if required.
- Ensures that the work complies with the requirements of the specification and relevant codes and standards.
- Comply with health, safety and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment
- Ensures that the contractors approved shop drawings, method statements, quality control procedures and safety plans are being implemented on site.
- Checks that requirements of other disciplines are coordinated and incorporated in the civil works.
- Performing construction management duties including reviewing construction documents and submittals, performing and documenting daily inspections, and assisting with project punch lists.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned
