• Develop and monitor on a monthly basis the schedule of work, associated budget for the areas of responsibility, monitor performance against this, initiating corrective action where necessary to ensure workshop operations are conducted within the agreed financial parameters • Establish and continuously review with Service Manager the workshop's structure, work flows and job responsibilities in the workshop to ensure work is organized and carried out in the most efficient and effective manner • Coordinating parts equipments, new model stock order, pre-bookings trends, back orders with sales department and body shop to ensure the right parts are available and there is no delay or loss of labor hours due to lack of co-ordination • Maintain a good knowledge of policies and procedures of Parent Companies' workshop standards to ensure work is carried out according to specified procedures • Support service staff to ensure maintenance of tools is done on a timely basis to ensure costs of business is kept to minimum without compromising on the safety aspect • Ensure that all the workshop functions are staffed with the requisite numbers and calibre of staff to meet its objective and that they are developed and motivated and encouraged to maximize their capability and contribution • Conduct training needs analysis and co-ordinate training through Training Manager to ensure the staff is well trained to meet the set workshop service standards • Supervise the work of team supervisors, technicians and quality controllers to ensure that the set workshop processes are followed so that the work flow, quality standards, profit and customer satisfaction index is maintained • Coach, counsel, discipline and motivate the team members to maintain healthy relations in the department with an aim to steer their efforts towards positive contribution for its goals
