• Consult with other engineers and architects. • Evaluate blue prints and plans for potential construction problems. • Ensure that building plans are according to code. • Determine the structural integrity of a building. • Recommend specific upgrades and changes to increase efficiency. • Make changes to specific systems, such as lighting or heating, to improve safety. • Assess cost-effectiveness of various options. • To give all support needed for subcontractors in accordance to their contract. • To coordinate with other sections for any needed backup. • To create crews doing the same job to get benefits of the learning curve. • To attend a daily meeting with the Construction Manager to review the work progress and to solve daily problems. • To suggest to his manager improvements on the system, methodology followed, better ideas for doing the job or part of it through daily/ weekly meetings. • To lead one or more of Junior Site Engineers and assists them in their tasks.
