Job purpose: 
The purpose of this position is to mentor, lead and coach the mechanical team of engineers for successful projects delivery. This includes design of the FF & PL systems, supervising engineers, coordinating, design documentation and administration of the team
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Contribute to successful project completion and management by providing expert technical services in accordance with the project time and quality.
• Lead the coordination process with other senior team leaders for continuity of the project.
• Participate in preparation of major bids and proposals on the commercial and technical side.
• Review and check specifications, reports and drawings to ensure quality of design and output.
• Assess if targets are achieved and determine where improvements could be made to increase efficiency.
• Responsible for design activities of complete Mechanical systems including Plumbing & fire fighting systems,  HVAC, Gas Systems as assigned.
• Responsible for technical analysis and resolution of engineering problems.
• Supervise and direct a team of senior engineers, designers and support personnel.
• Coordination with Authorities for approvals of schemes
• Review of material submittals, RFIs, Shop Drawings Etc.
• Quality, OH&S and Corporate Standards
Maintain quality of work by:
• Ensuring adherence to Corporate Standards.
• Ensuring that all activities are performed in a safe manner and comply to companies OH&S requirements.
• Ensuring the relevant QA procedures are followed. Professional Development
• Maintain, develop and retain the highest appropriate standard of technical skill.

Client Relationships:
• Maintain and develop Client relationship.
• Lay down precise information about work scope from the client and get it mutually agreed.
• Contributes to client satisfaction through being responsive in a timely and effective manner for any queries from the client.
Other:
• Any other duties your Manager may reasonably require you to perform.
• Sound knowledge of design softwares (HAP, Revit, CAD etc.).
• Proficient knowledge of design and engineering procedures.
• Quality oriented.
• Planning projects and time management.
• Sound Knowledge of various codes and standards. • Design experience in various types of buildings
• Aptitude to lead, manage and direct.
• Background experience in a Design Engineer Role.
• Experience in Mechanical design of buildings (from execution to closure) and have worked on diverse project of different types (residential, retail, commercial, healthcare, etc...)
