Major Functions
• Deputy General Maintenance Manager has overall the same obligations and responsibilities as his superior, General Maintenance Manager.) As outlined below, the Deputy General Maintenance Manager does have specific areas of responsibilities, but overall the function of the Deputy General Maintenance Manager is to assist and support the General Maintenance Manager.
Basic Duties & Responsibilities
o Functional Responsibilities 
 Enforces the compliance of the section to KDD established quality standards
 Provides hands on expert support when sections needed it
 Delegates responsibilities and gives clear, consistent directives to Maintenance Manager (MM) of the section for enforcing adherence to KDD established quality standards
 Directs the MM of the section to sustain and continuously improve the efficiency of the filling lines, processing and utilities.
 Provides expert support when needed to resolve the technical issues and in efficient planning of the filling lines and in ETP. 
o Budgeting & Planning Responsibilities 
 Following up on bulk orders
 Following up with spare parts for Preventive Maintenance planning
 Following up on QA/H&S/Environment procedures
o Strategic Functions Responsibilities 
 Works out and submits a yearly budget that is controlled and monitored not to exceed the company wide consolidated yearly budget
 Sets & implements job training schedule to enhance deliverable at departmental level
 Responsible and accountable to optimize all departmental resources, limiting cost, having more efficiency and better deliverables, with a reduced turnover
 Schedule and implements progress meetings, operational meetings, task force meetings, informative meetings while encouraging targeted meetings to be held at all level, with a meeting structure.
Assist and support where required. Build and maintain staffing level, boost employee performance evaluation, enforce discipline and commendation.
