1. Perform periodic compliance reviews to assess the level of compliance covering all banks’ departments, all domestic & foreign branches in addition to subsidiaries as per the approved plan.
2. Assure the Bank Compliance by testing the level of compliance through random samples.
3. Perform a regular follow-up with respective business divisions for the timely resolution of all outstanding compliance issues from the compliance reviews to ensure corrective action is adequately taken.
4. Overseeing compliance with laws and regulations and report any non-compliance to the Head of Compliance.
5. Assist the Head of Compliance in the self-assessment of the compliance on a periodic basis.
6. Reviewing and revising policies & procedures to ensure adequate controls are in place for regulatory conformance.
7. Review and assess the regulatory aspects of launching new retail / corporate products and services.
8. Ensure that the bank various financial ratios are in line with the respective regulatory ratios set by CBK.
9. Contribute in the training of Staff and in the Compliance Awareness Program for supporting and strengthening risk-based operations.
