- Develop and execute the O&G's Civil projects strategies to maximize the performance of the function.
- Develop policies, procedures and guidelines for Civil projects function and oversee their implementation.
- Support Project Director in developing key client relationships and growing the client base by enhancing direct and in-direct sales and sales management activities of Civil projects sales.
- Identify key initiatives, key result areas and key performance indicators for the Civil Projects function.
- Keep up with changes to relevant laws, regulations, instructions and any related issues within function scope and improve work mechanisms.
- Prepare the annual budget for the Civil Projects function in terms of manpower requirements and operational and capital expenses.
- Develop function action plans and programs and prepare short-term and long-term work plan.
- Ensure full adherence to project execution plans and enhance cost reductions wherever possible
- Direct the activities of the Civil function to achieve goals while maximizing operational efficiency.
- Evaluate, approve and prioritize civil projects work based on the O&G’s guidelines, project objectives and existing workload.
- Mobilize Civil projects resources, assemble project teams, plan and prioritize work assignments, establish timelines for project completion, and ensure that project goals are met while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Ensure that associated third parties/subcontractors have all necessary equipment’s, materials and resources to carry out their work.
- Monitor Civil projects cost variance in terms of costs against budget and time and undertake required action
- if any deviation from the work plan.
- Review reports prepared and presented by the Civil projects team pertaining to Civil projects and undertake the required action if projects have not been implemented according to the plan.
- Ensure invoicing and collection of civil projects payments from clients within debtor day targets.
- Monitor that accurate documentation of civil project data and records are maintained and provided regularly to Project Controls.
- Provide post-Civil projects completion maintenance and operation services to O&G’s clients.
- Ensure that all construction and contracting services are in adherence to all Global Service Standards, QHSE and ISO 9001:2000 procedures.
- Ensure adherence to approved Risk Management Procedures relating to payments, people and project delivery. Consult with the legal representative and the Project Director as and when necessary.
- Resolve issues pertaining to Civil projects and manages project risk.
- Ensure active commitment, compliance and accountability to the Client's Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and local legislation, and ensure completion and validity of all minimum QHSE training and objectives required by the organization.
- Stay abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues, through continued education and professional growth.
- Build effective communication between O & G and its employees.
- Perform any other related activity as directed by the Project Director
