• Develop sales plans and attract new clients, source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas, manage and negotiate with clients, generate leads, qualify prospects and manage sales of salon professional products and supplies.
• “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (door-to-door, cold calling, presentations, etc.).
• Evaluate customers’ skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships.
• Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads.
• Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory requirements.
• Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales and other selling transaction factors.
• Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales or selling transaction factors.
• Focuses sale efforts by studying existing and potential volume.
• Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literatures.
• Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
• Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
• Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Meet individual and team sales targets and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
