The Warehouse Manager must direct and supervise the warehouse operations and all facets including receiving, processing, recording and distributing goods; preparing and maintaining detailed records and files. The Manager will be responsible for the completion of inventory cycle counts and accuracy, back order filling, as well as the movement of goods into and out of the warehouse as per the planned schedule.
• Managing warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision, he should supervise and participate in overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
• Manage and delegates the daily warehousing operations including receiving & storage of goods, dispatching goods to POS, performance…etc
• Handle administration and general management issues, which will include the day-to-day supervision of staff
• Keeping stock control systems up to date and planning future capacity requirements
• Maximize best use of storage facilities i.e. racking, floor space, external storage…etc
• Maintains space for and stores non salable items
• Liaise with Stock Control and Purchasing to ensure all paperwork ( good in and picking notes ) are ready for processing at agreed times.
• Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Regularly communicate with all departments to ensure quality and delivery standards are upheld.
• Ensure the transfer of goods from warehouses to other locations as requested
• Forward planning for peak periods to ensure the warehouse and staff are ready to ensure fast, effective turnaround of all orders
• To monitor packaging stock levels and reorder as needed from approved suppliers to ensure daily requirements are met as well as planning for peak periods
• Ensure warehouses are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
