Position Overview
Reporting to the distribution manager, the Fleet Supervisor needs to be hands on with all vehicle maintenance & legal registration activities. This role requires duty tasking, ensuring that all vehicles have a maintenance plan.
Key Accountabilities:
• Inspect vehicles periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
• Hire and replacement vehicles during repairs and maintenance
• Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
• Monitor inventory of materials, fuels cards and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
• Responsible for the processes of renewing truck’s registration book in traffic department and Municipality & advertisement books as well.
• Purchasing trucks an preparing quotations for business.
• Maintains maintenance reports and data pertaining to maintenance on trucks; performs cost analysis of repairing trucks versus purchasing new trucks; prepares reports; maintains documentation and files.
