Position Functions
Planning
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the IT department.
- Establish annual departmental goals and objectives.
- Develop information technology department business plan and propose budget.
- Control the information technology department budget and expenditures.
- Meet with all departments/division heads in order to understand their needs, and provide them with equipment, systems, hardware, etc…... to meet with requirements.
Operations
- Ensure Disaster Recovery Systems are in place for all the business critical applications.
- Guarantee the operational readiness and availability of the IT infrastructure at the company to support all type of available systems.
- Develops and manages effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced.
- Ensure maximum availability of systems, and make sure that it meets with company requirements.
- Oversees the job responsibilities of the Systems Administrator and the Application Service Coordinator, and make sure that all system license are updated.
- Suggests areas of improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
Policies and Procedures
- Develop all policies and procedures related to IT activities.
- Make sure that IT policies and procedures complying with CBK rules and regulations.
- Make sure that IT team and end users are following IT policy and procedures.
- Review IT policies and procedures on a regular basis to ensure that they comply with CBK requirements.
Reporting
- Report to Line Manager on the activities of the IT Department on a periodic basis.
- Coordinate with CBK representatives during any inquiry, investigation or audits and acts as the main focal point.
Training
- Participate in the identification of training and development initiatives for all
employees within the Department.
- Mentor and train staff about the latest technology.
Team Development
- Effectively lead and develop the IT team, in line with department goals, objectives and systems, monitor and evaluate their performance.
- Provide a proper motivation and coaching for IT team
- Ensure team receives necessary training and development as per job level to reflect on their capabilities and customer service.
