JOB SUMMARY: To ensure the effective and efficient management of the Security and provide a safe and secure environment. The Security Manager will manage the delivery of security services provided by the nominated Security contractor to the agreed standards as detailed in the Key Performance Indicators.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the Operations Manager to set security policy and plan security management systems.
• Coordinate with external security agencies, planning agencies, to address security preparedness; including participation in formal meetings and committees.
• Organize and manage daily security operations and provide direction to subordinate supervisors and coordinators regarding security activities and works of their functional areas.
• Ensure and develop the competence of the supervisors and coordinators and provide coaching and support as required.
• Manage and monitor the service provision provided by the security contractor.
• Carry out threat analysis of the various sites and implement security measures appropriate to the threat.
• Managing the budget in line with set expenditure and manage projected overspends.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators and agree improvement plans within an agreed timescale where these fall below set standards.
• Developing security procedures and instructions related to security duties.
• Carry out the investigation and reporting on security incidents and issues.
• Monitor and control staff performance to satisfy the agreed KPI’s .
• Manage and monitor the performance of security staff and ensure adherence of quality management systems & standards, compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines.
• Investigating customer complaints and providing written reports to the Operations.
• Manager with recommendations for remedial action.
• Manage the Departmental asset register.
